Welcome to ICT at Foxes Piece School

The ICT curriculum at Foxes Piece School enables children to build on existing skills and develop confidence in computing. The children are encouraged to explore and experiment when using a variety of programs and resources. From Early Years through to Key Stage Two, the children are taught a range of units that include coding, word processing, internet research and communication. Children progress through the school, building on previous learning.

Our facilities include:

  • An ICT suite fully equipped with 15 desktop computers and 15 laptops along with an interactive white board.
  • 16 laptops connected to the school network in Upper Key Stage 2
  • Further laptops connected to the school network in Lower Key Stage 2
  • 12 Tablets available for Key Stage 1
  • A class iPad for each year group
  • Two laptop banks that are shared between classes.

Our school loves to incorporate IT across the curriculum and we encourage children to transfer their skills and learning into their work. The children create newspapers, analyse scientific data and research maps along with many other things.

At Foxes Piece we offer extra-curricular clubs throughout the year which provide children with the opportunity to further their enjoyment and understanding in computing. This includes film making and coding clubs. Foxes Piece School also acknowledge and take part in World Internet Safety Day every year.
