In Year One we are so thrilled to be back face to face in our classroom!
We have enjoyed looking at the signs of Spring in our garden and planting our own flowers. We are extremely lucky to have a huge and beautiful blossom tree in our garden too! We have all felt happy seeing this bloom and have started to enjoy the sunnier weather!
We are now looking forward to our final Summer term together. We will be learning all about Queens and Castles. We will learn lots about our Queen while discovering the names and faces of our Royal Family from the present and the past. We look forward to knowing what rooms are inside a castle and finding out how and why they were built. We will be putting on our enquiry hats and asking lots of 'who, why and what' questions.
In English, we will continue to practise our handwriting and spelling skills and begin to write our own stories with inspiration from books around our classroom. We have thoroughly enjoyed storytime since returning to school and we can't wait to spend the next term sharing stories together.
In Maths, we will use our 'Addition' knowledge to introduce ourselves to times tables, as well as exploring the world of 'Money and Time'!
Thank you to our wonderful families for a fantastic experience of home learning this term. We are so proud to be in Ash Class!
