During the Autumn term in Year 4, we will be studying 'Romans and Celts'. We will apply this newfound knowledge throughout our English lessons whilst writing stories with historical settings.
In Maths, we are focusing on our place value skills, working with numbers up to 10,000. We will use these skills when we cover our addition, subtraction, multiplication and division units. Additionally, one of the main focuses for this year is fluency within time tables. Children should be practicing their times tables on a daily basis and any opportunity to do this outside of school will benefit them greatly.
In PE, the children will be learning dance and gymnastic routines.
Homework will be sent out on Fridays and needs to be returned the following Wednesday. The children will receive a new homework grid each half term and can choose the task they would like to complete. Children are encouraged to read to an adult (or sibling) as much as possible and reading record completed.
