During the Autumn term in Year 4, we are studying 'Ancient Greeks'. We will explore the history of the Greek leaders, mythology, civilisations and compare life back then to our lives today.
In English lessons, we will be writing stories with historical settings, starting with World War 2. Already, the children are excited to write captivating pieces based in this time, using descriptive language and techniques suitable to the genre.
In Maths, the children are continuing to learn a range of arithmetic and problem solving skills, with a focus on times tables, in preparation of the Year 4 national times table test next year.
In Science, the children are learning about sound. This includes how sound travels, how to change volume and create different pitches.
We are completing daily socially distant PE lessons of 30-minutes per session, where we are learning a range of ball, dance and co-ordination skills.
Currently, there is no homework being given across the school. However, please look back in a few weeks for an update.
