Summer Term is a very busy one for Year 6 as we get closer and closer towards SATs. English and Maths lessons will be focused on revisiting everything we have learned over the last few terms. Our topic over the Summer term is ‘Amazing America’. We will be learning to locate the main countries within North and South America, understand the difference in climates and landscapes as well as a general introduction into the rainforest and the animals that live there. In Science, we are learning about how to classify animals into different groups.
PE will continue to be on a Wednesday and Thursday and children will need their PE kit in school on those days. However we sometimes have opportunities for extra PE activities and it is best if children have their PE kit (including trainers) at all times. As the weather gets colder please ensure your child has a pair of jogging bottoms.
English homework is sent out on a Monday to be returned on a Wednesday and Maths homework is sent out on a Wednesday to be returned on a Friday. In addition, spellings are sent out on Wednesday to be tested the following week.
