Learning French
We celebrate all language at Foxes Piece School and are delighted that so many of our pupils speak different languages at home.
Learning is through games, role plays, action songs and worksheets with lots of reinforcement and repetition so that knowledge is retained. Lessons include phonics, vocabulary and grammar and in all topics the focus is on practical communication.
Topics covered range from greetings, classroom instructions, special French celebrations, French meals and of course, the market.
As a school, we celebrate both European Languages Day and One World Day where children get the opportunity to celebrate French as well as many other languages from around the world.
