Learning Science
Everyone is a scientist at Foxes Piece School! Science is a vital part of our curriculum and links to many other curriculum areas. It is our intent to install a lifelong love of science and a fascination with the world in all our pupils. Whether during lesson time, through clubs, visitors or outdoor learning time, our children witness and enjoy the wonder of the environment around them. From watching chicken eggs hatch and grow to observing the life form of a rockpool, our children delight in the phenomena of the natural world. We are very lucky that our school grounds has a wildlife area where all pupils have the opportunity for regular outdoor learning time. Through our curriculum our children learn that asking questions about skills and knowledge to investigate and find answers.
They are able to use their discoveries to organise and reflect on their learning. Science at Foxes Piece School helps to develop confident, curious and skilled learners.
