At this school, the health, safety and well-being of every child is of paramount concern. We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us. Our aim is that children will enjoy their time as pupils in our school.

We want to work in partnership with everyone to help children achieve their full potential and make a positive contribution.

On rare occasions, our concern about a child may mean that we have to consult other agencies even before we contact parents. The procedures, which we follow, have been laid down by the Buckinghamshire Safeguarding Children’s Board, and the school has adopted a Child Protection Policy in line with this for the safety of all. If parents wish to know more about our procedures or the policy, please speak to the Headteacher or the child’s class teacher.

The Underwear Rule

Simple conversations really can help keep your child safe, and that’s what we will help you do. We want to help parents and carers talk to their children about staying safe. The Underwear Rule is just one way that – together – we can prevent child abuse.
We teach our pupils the NSPCC’s Underwear Rule using the ‘PANTS’ acrostic.
PANTS stands for:

  • Privates are private
  • Always remember your body belongs to you
  • No means no
  • Talk about secrets that upset you
  • Speak up, someone can help

Have a look at the poster to the right for more information.
