Year 6 - Show Racism the Red Card
Year 6 looks colourful with splashes of red today! We are wearing our red clothes with pride to 'Show Racism The Red Card!'. We took part in an activity based on looking at assumptions and judgements. This activity was an excellent way to talk about stereotypes and presume things about people just by how they look, and before we actually know anything about them. We learnt that these judgements can lead to stereotypes, and both these types of behaviour can lead to some people not being treated fairly. The class did really well in having an open discussion about stereotypes and equality.
