  • The Trim Trail is now open!

    Mon 22 Sep 2014

Our newly erected Trim Trail is now open! Year 5 had a fantastic time trying it out.

A big thank you to Friends of Foxy for raising the funds. I am sure the children are going to love playing with it and discovering new ways to get over and under it.

  • Rock On!

    Thu 18 Sep 2014

Willow Class, Year 3, thoroughly enjoyed an exciting and challenging day when a real-life mountaineer showed them the ropes. Not only did the children wear harness and helmet to ascent a mountain ladder; they abseiled down; supported each other to climb the “cliff face” and traversed a “ravine” on a tight rope (all within school).

The day involved studying rocks for science and fossils for history. Children learnt about being an archaeologist and a rock hunter. A day they will remember for a very long time we think!

  • Welcome Back Everyone

    Tue 16 Sep 2014

I hope you all enjoyed your summer holiday and are now ready for the autumn term ahead.
This year there are many new changes in education and we will be working hard to implement them and keep everyone informed. We will especially be focusing on supporting families to understand the new SEN Code of Practice and introducing the new National Curriculum across the whole school. This is once more a time of change for pupils, teachers, parents and governors and I hope you will continue to support us throughout these changing times.

It was wonderful to meet all our new pupils and families who joined the school last week. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact your class teacher or myself and we will endeavor to help.

During the next week or so the children will be voting for their house captains and class school council representatives and I look forward to announcing the winners shortly.

Looking forward to the new term ahead
    Mrs Jane Byron
