  We were so proud of the children's work that they produced for the Design and Technology Showcase on Friday 25th October. The children were very excited to show the results of their hard work to the parents and carers that attended. 

  

• Year 5 - Persuasive Writing

  Year 5 put their persuasive writing to the test this week as they each wrote a letter of application to Mrs Byron to apply for the job of Maths Ambassadors! They eagerly await their interviews and the beginning of their work with the younger children in school.
  
   

  

• Year 2 - Topic: The Great Fire of London

  In Science the children have been thinking about different materials and their uses. This week they investigated what materials are buoyant and waterproof and would be suitable to build a boat to escape the fire of London! 

  

• The Red Box Project

  We were recently contacted by Little Marlow and Well End WI regarding The Red Box Project which supply schools with sanitary towels, pants, bags etc for young girls who may have difficulty getting help from their families due to lack of funds. We were provided the box and contents this week. We are the first school in Marlow to take on this initiative and what a wonderful offer it is. 
   

  

• Year 4 - Mads Maths Session

  We played our times table games that we made over the Summer. We then became detectives and used our Maths skills to solve clues which led us to working out who the thief was! 

  

• Yr 6 - Creative Autumn Homework

  Year 6 were asked to create a piece of creative homework on the theme of Autumn.  They had free rein as to how they interpreted this and what they produced.  Wow!  We had cakes, photos, drawings and poems to name a few things!  

  

• KS2 - 'Behaviour Treat' Trolley

  The children in KS2 have worked hard earning tokens by showing the school values and a positive attitude to learning. The children earned, counted and chose to spend or save their tokens. Some children were able to spend 100!

  Year 5 had a great coding lesson in the ICT suite, designing their own game and learning about algorithms 

  

• Year 3 Topic - Stone Age

  Last week in topic, we created our own Stone Age cave paintings using natural coloured paints and brown paper.  They are now proudly displayed in our cloakroom.
