• Whole School Farm Visit

  On Friday 23^rd September, the pupils at Foxes Piece School enjoyed a visiting farm on the school site.

  Many of the children were seeing, smelling and hearing farm animals for the first time.  The children learnt about the animals and then enjoyed a hands-on experience with their new furry friends.

  

• MacMillan Coffee Morning

  The staff very kindly baked cakes for our MacMillan coffee morning and with thanks to the parents that attended we raised £61.75. 

  

• Year 3 Science - Exploring Rocks

  This term in Science, Year 3 are looking at rocks.  We have spent the last 2 weeks experimenting with different types of rocks and sorting them into groups.  We have found out which ones are permeable, impermeable, durable, non-durable and which ones have a high or low density.

• Year 2 - Place Value in Maths

  In Maths Year 2 have been having fun finding different ways to help demonstrate place value. 

  

• Year 1 Topic - Toys

  Today we had a special visitor in Year 1, Mrs Davey. She shared with us some of her toys from the past. This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to handle and play with toys that they may never have seen before. It was a very exciting afternoon and everyone had a great time. 

  

• Year 4 - Trip to Cliveden House

  On Monday, Year 4 spent the day at Cliveden House building dens. We explored nature and created sculptures out of natural materials. The children had a wonderful day and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Their favourite part of the day was building dens and designing them to include all of the things that are important to them. This included sofas made out of long logs, food made out of leaves and even WiFi made out of twigs! 
   

  

• Year 3 PSHE Lesson

  Over the next few weeks in Year 3, we will be looking at keeping our bodies and brains healthy during our PHSE lessons.  We started by talking about healthy eating and designed our own healthy meals - we think they would be really yummy!

  The Year 6 class have been creating self portraits using a variety of different shades of paint which are now displayed in their corridor.
