• Reception Class Allotment Visit

  On Wednesday 22nd April Reception Class were invited to the allotments on Newfield Road by Mr Trillow and Mrs Hunter. We talked about vegetables and how they grow. We took a tour of Mr Trillow and Mrs Hunter’s greenhouse and saw all the wonderful things they were growing.
  To end the visit we all planted a gladioli bulb and these can be seen from the path coming up to school. We are hoping that once they flower, we will be able to pick them and take them home.
  

  

• Cycle Training

  On Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th March some Year 5 children took part in cycle training. The instructors were from Spokes Cycle Instruction and were with the children for 2 days. During this time the children learnt how to do u-turns, signalling and overtaking.  On their second day they were taken out onto the roads where they were taught about minor and major roads.
