Take a look at our latest news happening in school at the moment.
Years 1 and 2 spent the afternoon learning how to ride a scooter safely. The sessions included
Checking the scooter was working smoothly
Getting ‘’scooter ready’
Keeping the scooter under control
Looking around without loss of control and controlling the scooter confidently
The ability to stop quickly with control if needed.
It was great fun!
Last week some Year 6 children were lucky enough to visit Kensham Farm in Cadmore End where they discovered all about growing wheat. As well as learning about wheat, the children had a tour round the farm, hunted for insects in the wheat field and very much enjoyed sitting in tractors, combine harvesters and even a grain bucket. Thank you very much to everyone at Kensham Farm we had a great day!
At the end of June each Year 6 class was lucky enough to spend 2 days, including an overnight stay, at the Longridge Activity Centre. They took part in a range of activities including climbing, crate stacking, kayaking, raft building, laser tag and - the highlight for many- the giant swing! Although the weather on the first day was really wet, they all had a great time and made memories that will stay with them forever!
Today we drew aerial view maps of our classroom in topic.
