Take a look at our latest news happening in school at the moment.
Year 4 had a fantastic time at Waddesdon Manor today. They took part in 5 different workshops learning about what life was like in Ancient Britain, Edwardian Britain and WW1 & 2 Britain as well as working with a resident artist to create a collaborative piece of outdoor art. The staff at Waddesdon said how lovely, inquisitive and well behaved the children were and I couldn't agree more!
Year 5 had a lovely day at Ruislip Lido. They sketched the palm trees, completed some team-building challenges, walked the nature trails to build dens and enjoyed some time playing in the sand and on the pirate boat.
Our pupils loved sharing the school with our Governors today and the feedback they received was wonderful and positive.
The children worked well in groups to complete lots of different Maths challenges!
The children had a great time representing Foxes Piece at the 'LOVE Marlow' festival at Marlow Park. Sheila Wilson from Red Music had this to say:-
"Thank you on behalf of me, and our hosts Marlow Regatta Festival, for all the hard work you and your children put into Sunday’s concert. It was spectacular! The children were all wonderful. They sang beautifully and behaved brilliantly. What credit they are to each school involved.
The praise from all areas has been outstanding".
On Eco-Day, the children were talking about what they do on a daily basis to be eco-friendly.
The children created posters and fact files to share what they had learned. Year 4 loved their music session with Miss Kerr, creating a new version of 'We Will Rock You' called 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.' Miss Kerr was impressed with how quickly they came up with eco-linked lyrics and then recreated the drum beat using drum sticks and their chairs. In the afternoon, the children spent time making their own eco-friendly bird feeders to hang in our outdoor areas and collages made out of scraps of materials from the art cupboard.
Some of the children spent the last part of the day planting their Ukrainian sunflowers in our garden as they have been growing so well. As a class, we had a great, fun day!
Eco Warriors creating Bee-Stops!
Ricky dance day is always one of our favourite days in school.
