Take a look at our latest news happening in school at the moment.
Today in our Science lesson, we reminded ourselves about what makes something a living organism. Using MRS GREN, we explored the school grounds to investigate whether something was living or not. Something that we all questioned was whether grass was a living organism. We discovered it has been a debate within the science community for centuries.
The children loved being able to make their own pizzas in Pizza Express today. The children then bought their pizzas back to school for their lunch.
The children had such fun at the school disco on Wednesday - thanks so much to the PTA ladies for putting on such a great event.
This week, we have been practising how to survive an earthquake. The children took part in earthquake drills and understood the importance of following these procedures.
In year 5, we have been learning about earthquakes in our geography lessons. We used shaving foam and crackers to demonstrate the 3 ways in which the tectonic plates move: convergent, where plates move into one another; divergent, where plates move apart; and transform, where plates move sideways in relation to each other. It was quite messy!
