Thank you to all the parents and families who came along to support our youngest children in the fun sports carousel on Tuesday. The weather was perfect and the children loved the range of fun fitness tasks to complete.
Selected Year 5 children practiced emergency stopping, swerving, signalling and many more skills. The sessions began on the playground and then the children put in to practice what they had learnt on the main road.
On Saturday we headed off to Bournemouth beach. It was wonderful that so many families were able to join us an spend the day relaxing at the seaside.
This week, we have been focusing on both our physical and mental well-being. We have had a range of workshops, lessons and fun sessions all designed to promote well-being in children.
On Wednesday, everyone attended two ‘A-Life Workshops’ to learn about healthy eating, the importance of physical activity, how to relax and how to stay safe. In the afternoon sessions they took part in a fun fitness circuit.
Year 6 took part in a wonderful yoga session outdoors today, led by Mrs Hedges. The children carried out 14 different poses whilst listening to calming music. It was a lovely session enjoyed by all in the glorious sunshine.
Year 6 are all so pleased with their leavers hoodies and are enjoying wearing them around school.
Thank you to all the families who took part in the festival last Sunday. We had a great turnout, the sun shone and the singing was amazing. We could not have asked for more. Well done everyone!
Year 6 enjoyed their Maths lesson outside in the lovely sunshine today, where they played a treasure hunt game based on measurement and conversion.
